I snapped this furtively, lest the subway police think I was a potential terrorist scoping out the joint! Just before the tilework was FINALLY completed. Be sure to look up at Weather Up! Had drinks there last night with Annie, Sara, and my better half on a quest for Age Appropriate watering holes (Sara’s rad project, 30toMidnight, check it out if you know what’s good for you). The fabulooon and rather intricate subway-tiled ceiling more than made up for the slow service. Read on here for a wittier take on the eve.

Thanks to my travel companions for letting me steal cameras. (Better photos–a whole slideshow!–on NYMag.)
