This just in: Bisazza will debut three storage pieces by Tord Boontje at the Salone del Mobile in April. The latest contributor to the company’s expanding Home collection (tile-encrusted side tables, mosaiced folding screens, etc.), he joins a roster of design stars–Patricia Urquiola, Jurgen Mayer H., and Andree Putman among them. Boontje’s collection, Digital Memories, includes this mosaic-swathed console, Volume Gamma; yes, he designed the piece and the tile pattern * . Check out the designs in Bisazza’s Via Senato flagship if you’re in Milan for the furniture fair.
( * This is not Boontje’s first forray into tile; a few years ago he introduced the whimsical Primavera for Ceramica Bardelli–still one of my all-time favorites:)
